wood, pigments, cowrie shell,
a) hand drum "kundu", engraved with the name of the previous owner "Caon Mkel", stringing and rotan ring missing, h: 74.4 cm; interesting detail: the Christian cross symbol was integrated into the traditional carving patterns.
b) trumpet with bird's head, h: 62.4 cm; wooden trumpets were used for signalling success in an enterprise such as hunting, but especially in warfare.
