wood, painted in black, red and white pigment, accentuated eyebrows and cheeks, incised scarification marks, rep. (right ear), min. dam., small missing parts, cracks, slight traces of abrasion, base; the Bindji are well known for their elaborate carved pipes and their powerful helmet masks "tshibangabanga" which are very similar to the "bwoom" masks of the Kuba.
