Unusual pair of figures. The physignomy of the hat-wearing figure bears resemblance to a monkey, but the sexless body is human. The hat, borrowed from the former colonial masters, is often found on "iran otibago" figures of the Bidjogo.
Possibly the representation of a revered ancestral couple.
